Osher LLI at FAU presents, “A Discussion with Former U.S. Ambassador, John Rakolta, Jr.”
The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at 鶹ýӳ presents, “A Discussion with Former U.S. Ambassador, John Rakolta, Jr.,” moderated by Robert Rabil, Ph.D., professor, department of political science, Dorothy F. Schmidt College of Arts and Letters at FAU.
Ambassador Rakolta is the current chairman and former CEO of Walbridge, a full-service construction and engineering company headquartered in Detroit. Ambassador Rakolta played an integral role in concluding the Abraham Accords and pursued a soft diplomatic approach to U.S. foreign policy in the Middle East through the advancement of art, trade and investment.
In this one-time lecture, Rabil will moderate a discussion of the Abraham Accords, Middle East politics, UAE foreign policy and the strengths and weaknesses of the U.S. State Department with Ambassador Rakolta.
The lecture will take place on FAU’s Boca Raton campus on Saturday, Jan. 8 at 2 p.m. at the Barry and Florence Friedberg Auditorium on W. University Drive, and on the FAU Jupiter campus on Friday, Jan. 14 at 9:30 a.m. at the Eleanor Bernon Rosenthal Auditorium on 5353 Parkside Drive.
