Osher LLI at FAU Presents Douglas Brinkley

The Osher Lifelong Learning Institute at 鶹ýӳ in Jupiter will present a lecture by Douglas Brinkley, CNN presidential historian and author, on Tuesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m. in the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute complex at FAU’s John D. MacArthur Campus, 5353 Parkside Dr., in Jupiter.

Brinkley’s lecture, “An Evening with Douglas Brinkley,” will address his latest book, “American Moonshot: John F. Kennedy and the Great Space Race.” As the 50thanniversary of the first lunar landing approaches, Brinkley takes a new look at the space program, former U.S. President John F. Kennedy’s inspiring challenge, and America’s race to the moon.

Brinkley is the Katherine Tsanoff Brown Chair in Humanities and professor of history at Rice University, the CNN presidential historian, a contributing editor at Vanity Fair and a New York Times best-selling author.
