Homecoming 2022: ‘The One at 鶹ýӳ’

鶹ýӳ will celebrate “Homecoming: The One at 鶹ýӳ” beginning Friday, Oct. 7 through Saturday, Oct. 15, at its Boca Raton, Broward, and Jupiter campuses. All events are open to FAU students, faculty and staff unless otherwise noted.

The following events will be at FAU’s Boca Raton campus, 777 Glades Road:

Annual Drag Show
Friday, Oct. 7 at 8 p.m.
Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium, Student Union
**Open to public**

The drag show will feature a night of entertainment performances using lip-synching and dance to highlight themes within the LGBTQ+ community and show the diversity of gender expression. The event will feature “RuPaul’s Drag Race” finalist Roxxxy Andrews with local artists Ariel Rimm, TP Lords, Nicky Monet, Velvet Lenore, Rianna Petrone and Katt Wilderness. This event is free for all FAU students and general public can purchase a ticket for $10.

Coffee with Friends
Monday, Oct. 10 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Grand Palm, Student Union

Bring your friends and enjoy coffee and pastries from all around the world.

Fiesta con Friends
Tuesday, Oct. 11 from 5 to 8 p.m.
Housing Lawn

The event itself will be a combination of FAU pride and Hispanic/Latino/a/x Heritage Month cultures. Several of FAU’s culturally based student organizations will present in addition to food, crafts, music, and of course, dancing.

ExtravaCANza
Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 3 to 5 p.m.
Grand Palm, Student Union

A fun and creative event that involves building teams, collecting cans to donate, and building sculptures. The winning team gets a prize.

Headphone Disco
Wednesday, Oct. 12 from 6 to 9 p.m.
Student Union

Dance the night away with friends while listening to music through headphones.

Build-a-friend
Thursday, Oct. 13 from noon to 2 p.m.
Campus Recreation Pool

Build a stuffed friend to take home with you.

Comedy Show featuring Taylor Tomilson
Thursday, Oct. 13 at 8 p.m.
Carole and Barry Kaye Auditorium, Student Union

A show featuring comedian Taylor Tomilson, who has performed on “The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon,” “CONAN,” Comedy Central’s “Adam Devine’s House Party,” and Netflix’s “The Comedy Lineup.” Tomilson also finished in the top 10 of season nine on NBC’s “Last Comic Standing.”

Play some cool glow-in-the-dark arcade games with friends.

Homecoming Stroll Off: 90s Edition
Friday, Oct. 14 at 7 p.m.
Campus Recreation Center

Join FAU’s Greek organizations as they take it way back to the 90s! Going Greek is a great way to make friends, so join in with organizations at this event while they compete, perform, and at the end of the night, a winner will be named!
