FAU Recognized as Leader in Undergraduate Research

The (CUR) has selected 鶹ýӳ as one of three recipients of the 2017 Award for Undergraduate Research Accomplishments (AURA). The national award recognizes institutions who have developed exemplary programs that provide high-quality research, scholarship and creative experiences for undergraduates.

󴡱’s (OURI) was commended on its “Distinction through Discovery” program, which aims to improve student learning by creating a culture of undergraduate research at the University. According to CUR, 󴡱’s program “is a thoughtful and intentional approach to the integration of research into the curriculum, and its practical and actionable plan of assessment of the impact of its undergraduate research programming provides a model for doctoral institutions.”

The program works to integrate research assignments into the classroom curriculum, expand the opportunities available to students who want to conduct research and inquiry and increase the support and recognition for FAU faculty who mentor these students.

󴡱’s OURI actively promotes student research throughout the year by hosting the , recognizing Undergraduate Researchers of the Year, publishing the FAU Undergraduate Research Journal, providing grants to students participating in independent research and shining a spotlight on students conducting unique research projects.
