Richard Gordon Donates $200,000 to FAU’s Honors College
FAU benefactor Richard Gordon presents the Dian Gordon Memorial Honors Scholarship to Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College student Erin Fee at the recent annual Named Scholar Recognition Ceremony.
Richard Gordon, a longtime benefactor of 鶹ýӳ’s Harriet L. Wilkes Honors College, recently donated $200,000 to his two existing scholarship funds, providing the opportunity for a renewable full-tuition award for selected students.
The Dian Gordon Memorial Honors Scholarship is awarded to an honors student who is concentrating in literature or English and holds a 3.0 GPA. The Richard and Dian Gordon Honors Scholarship in Biology and/or Chemistry is awarded to an honors student who is concentrating in biology or chemistry and holds a 3.0 GPA.
A retired executive from the electronics industry, Gordon is a founding member and past chairman of the Wilkes Honors College Advisory Board and has been a member of numerous board committees. He has generously supported programs for both faculty and students.
