FAU Tech Runway® Appoints Chairman of Advisory Board

鶹ýӳ’s Tech Runway® has recently appointed Donald Kiselewski as the new chairman to its advisory board.

鶹ýӳ’s Tech Runway®has recently appointed Donald Kiselewski as the new chairman to its advisory board. Theserves as an advisory body for the mission, strategy and programs of FAU Tech Runway®.

Kiselewski is currently the senior director of external affairs for Florida Power & Light Company (FPL), the largest rate-regulated electric utility in Florida. Prior to joining FPL, he served as a congressional chief of staff and was a 14-year employee of the U.S. House of Representatives. Kiselewski earned a Master of Business Administration degree from 鶹ýӳ and a bachelor’s degree from Emory University.

“We are thrilled that Don Kiselewski has agreed to serve as chairman of the FAU Tech Runway®advisory board,” said Rhys Williams, managing director of FAU Tech Runway and associate vice president within FAU’s Division of Research. “He is widely recognized as an accomplished civic leader with an impressive track record of driving institutions to new and greater heights.In a relatively short period of time, Don has already made a significantly positive impact upon our board and FAU Tech Runway®.”

Along with Williams, other members of the FAU Tech Runway®advisory board include: Daniel Flynn, Ph.D.; Mary Katherine Morales; Scott Adams; Lenny Chesal; Arnold Cohen; Marcell Haywood; Marti LaTour; and Connor Lynch.

“FAU Tech Runway®is providing our students, professors and Florida entrepreneurs with the mentoring expertise, space and financial backing to develop successful technologies and cultivate industry start-ups,” said Kiselewski. “Our talented advisory board is committed to fostering only the best concepts and driving our classes from inception though venture funding. We’re dedicated to providing the resources necessary to establish a creative, collaborative workspace and grow our class size to yield more entrepreneurial opportunities and provide an even greater impact on South Florida’s economy.”

Under the purview of the FAU Division of Research, Tech Runway is a public-private partnership formed to foster technology start-up companies.Applications are currently being accepted through Wednesday, March 22 for this year’s. Winners will be announced at a ceremony on Thursday, May 23.
