Our Centers
Math Learning Center (MLC)
The Math Learning Center (MLC), was created to help FAU students develop their math problem-solving skills so they have the confidence and ability to solve math problems on their own. The MLC offers FREE drop in group tutoring online and in-person. Tutoring is available for most undergraduate mathematics courses.
Center for Learning & Student Success (CLASS)
Ìý
CLASS
provides free Supplemental Instruction (SI), tutoring and other support to students in courses outside of math and writing throughout the Boca Raton and Broward campuses. E-success programs, eTutoring, and other online support is also available. CLASS oversees a variety of programs to support students in their academic journey, including Civic Literacy workshops and the Science Learning Center (SLC).
University center for excellence in writing (UCEW)
The UCEW provides appointment-based support to help all members of the University community to enhance their writing online and face to face. While we support all campuses, there is only one center.
The Speaking Center
The Speaking Center supports students, faculty and staff across the university who strive to become more confident and effective speakers. Speaking Consultations are available online and face-to-face.
The office of undergraduate research and inquiry (OURI)
Ìý
The Office of Undergraduate Research and Inquiry (OURI) serves as a centralized support office of faculty and students who are engaged in undergraduate research and inquiry across all colleges and campuses. We offer and support university wide programs such as undergraduate research grants, annual undergraduate research symposia, undergraduate research journals, prestigious fellowships and scholarships, and the Undergraduate Research Certificate, to name a few.
Academic Success Initiatives (ASI)
Our office is responsible for the assessment of the Intellectual Foundations Program, FAU's general education curriculum, and supports the development of existing and new IFP courses through consultation and training. Our assessment work extends through collaborations across the university to use student outcome and other data to inform practice and recommend improvements.
Scholars Program
